Cooper and Bounce

Our beginnings

We got Bounce at the picture butte auction (~2009). When we got home to the acreage she was bouncing all over the place/ vibrating with excitement upon seeing all of the animal we had, bunnies, goats, horses, ect. This is why we named her Bounce, keep in mind my brother and I where grade 4/6! We found out after we got her home she was completely terrified of men. We believe the previous owner was not the kindest to her. This didn't last long thankfully with lots of love she came around. She enjoyed going for rides to town, hauling water, playing fetch and swimming. She was our first hunting dog, once you hunt with a dog there is no going back! She once worked a little section of bush for 30 mins while we where conversing with a local of the area we where in. We thought she was just smelling old scent- surprising us when she flushed the bird up and nobody was ready!

We got Cooper from a young adult who worked long hours and realized it was not fair to Cooper (Aug 2012). We have hunted with him since without any formal training, we like to think Bounce taught him. However most of his abilities are completely natural.

Breeding dogs is something we have grown to love and something we believe we are privileged to be able to do. Growing up and seeing the natural abilities Cooper and Bounce have/had shows the importance of carefully choosing what dogs are breed to ensure quality of the breed is upheld. All these traits Cooper and Bounce displayed have helped lead us down this path of finding and then breeding the best German Wirehaired Pointers with natural abilities.
